KoBild

KoBild is a cross-platform, open-source image processing framework designed to support research, education, and production workflows. It provides a modular pipeline approach to image analysis, rendering, and visualization, enabling users to compose processing steps from reusable components.

KoBild emerged from a collaboration among university labs, independent developers, and industry partners aiming to standardize image-processing pipelines. Since its initial release, the project has evolved through community-driven releases, emphasizing interoperability and extensibility.

The core is written in C++ with bindings for Python and JavaScript. It supports a plugin system to add filters, analyzers, and exporters. It includes built-in modules for denoising, feature extraction, segmentation, color management, and rendering.
