KniffelYahtzee

KniffelYahtzee is a term used to describe the dice game Yahtzee in German-speaking contexts, where the game is commonly known as Kniffel. Gameplay: The game is played by one or more players. Each turn, a player rolls five six-sided dice. After the roll, they may set aside any dice and re-roll the remaining dice, up to two additional rolls per turn (for a total of three rolls). After the final roll, the player assigns the result to one of thirteen categories on a score pad: ones, twos, threes, fours, fives, sixes; three of a kind; four of a kind; full house; small straight; large straight; chance; and yahtzee (five of a kind). The Yahtzee category scores 50 points for five matching dice; subsequent Yahtzees often earn bonuses under various rule sets, including Joker-style rules in some editions.
