Knieextensie
Knieextensie refers to the straightening of the knee joint. This movement is primarily performed by the quadriceps femoris muscle group, located on the front of the thigh. The quadriceps are composed of four muscles: the rectus femoris, vastus lateralis, vastus medialis, and vastus intermedius. The knee extension movement is crucial for many everyday activities. It is essential for walking, running, jumping,
Weakness or injury to the quadriceps muscles or the surrounding structures can impair knee extension. Conditions
