The concept is not part of mainstream meteorology, and there is no universally accepted definition or taxonomy.

Etymology and usage: Kliimates is a coined spelling, with kli- serving as a stylistic variant of climate. It appears mainly in fictional narratives, worldbuilding guides, and theoretical discourses exploring how alternative climate physics could shape planetary environments. Because it is not standardized, different authors may emphasize different mechanisms—rapid atmospheric forcing, unusual albedo feedbacks, or non-Earthlike ocean-atmosphere coupling.
