Kivitelezés

Kivitelezés is a Hungarian term referring to the act of carrying out, realizing, or executing a plan, design, or project. While it is commonly used in construction, it also describes the implementation of software deployments, investment programs, policies, or other initiatives where a plan is turned into a tangible result.

In construction, kivitelezés denotes the actual building work performed by a contractor according to approved designs, specifications, and contracts, leading to a completed structure or facility. The concept encompasses site management, resource organization, scheduling, quality assurance, safety, and adherence to regulations. It also includes coordination among designers, contractors, suppliers, and authorities, as well as cost and schedule control, with handover and as-built documentation marking project completion.

Process and phases: kivitelezés typically follows planning and procurement stages and occurs during the execution phase of a project. It involves managing contracts, overseeing construction activities, ensuring compliance with technical requirements, and monitoring progress to align with the project’s scope, budget, and timeline.

Roles: key participants include the client (megrendelő), the contractor (kivitelező), the designer or architect (tervező), and a technical supervisor or engineer responsible for quality and compliance (műszaki ellenőr or felelős műszaki vezető), along with project managers and regulatory authorities as needed.
