Kerhorns

Kerhorns are a type of fictional creature that appear in the world of the tabletop role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons. They are described as large, bipedal beings resembling a cross between a rhinoceros and a badger, with thick, leathery hides and powerful claws. Kerhorns are known for their formidable strength and aggressive nature, often found in mountainous or rocky terrain. Their diet consists primarily of roots and minerals, which they excavate using their sharp claws.

These creatures are generally solitary, though they may form small family groups. Their territories are fiercely defended, and they are known to charge intruders without hesitation. While not inherently evil, their territoriality and aggressive instincts make them dangerous adversaries. In combat, Kerhorns rely on their brute force, charging opponents and using their claws and horns to inflict damage. Their tough hides provide considerable protection against physical attacks.

Game Masters may use Kerhorns as challenging opponents for adventurers, particularly in wilderness or cave environments. Their low intelligence means they are not typically cunning strategists, but their ferocity and physical prowess make them a significant threat. Encounters with Kerhorns often involve navigating treacherous terrain and surviving their powerful charges and attacks.
