Keräyspumput

Keräyspumput, known in English as collection pumps or sometimes sump pumps, are devices designed to remove unwanted liquids, typically water, from a collection area. These areas are often sumps, basements, crawl spaces, or other low-lying locations where water can accumulate due to flooding, leaks, or groundwater seepage. The primary function of a keräyspumppu is to prevent water damage to structures and possessions.

These pumps work by activating when a certain water level is reached. Many keräyspumput are submersible, meaning they are placed directly in the water to be pumped out.
