Kangxi
Kangxi (1654–1722) was the fourth emperor of the Qing dynasty, ruling from 1661 to 1722. Born Xuanye, he ascended the throne after the death of his father, Shunzhi, and presided over one of the empire’s longest and most consequential reigns. The era named for him is noted for political consolidation, territorial expansion, and cultural flourishing.
