Kaksoisjuuret
Kaksoisjuuret, or double roots, refers to a plant root morphology in which two primary root axes originate from the radicle during early germination, forming a bifurcated or parallel root system. In most plants, the radicle develops a single dominant root, but in kaksoisjuuret an additional primary root develops alongside it, at least during early seedling stages. Later growth may preserve both axes or favor one, depending on species and environmental conditions.
