Jõuvõllid, commonly translated as driveshafts or propeller shafts, are essential components in many mechanical systems, particularly in vehicles. Their primary function is to transmit torque from a power source, such as an engine or transmission, to a driven component, such as a differential or wheel. This transmission of rotational power is crucial for locomotion and operation of various machinery.

The construction of a jõuvõll typically involves a hollow or solid tube, often made from steel or aluminum for strength and lightness. At each end, universal joints or constant velocity (CV) joints are fitted.
