Juhtmes

Juhtmes is a term encountered in limited discussions of leadership and organizational theory. It is used to denote a pattern or mechanism by which guidance and influence unfold within a networked system rather than through a single central authority.

The term appears to be a neologism; its exact etymology and standard definition are not established. In different sources, it may be described as combining a root related to leading with a nominal suffix, but there is no universal consensus.

In theoretical usage, johtmes is associated with two main senses. One is distributed leadership, in which leadership influence propagates through a mesh of actors and roles, enabling adaptive guidance without formal central control.
