Jellemzkiválasztási

Jellemzkiválasztási refers to the process of feature selection in machine learning and data analysis. It is a crucial step in building effective predictive models, aiming to identify and select a subset of relevant features from a larger set of available data. The primary goal of jellemzkiválasztási is to improve model performance, reduce computational complexity, and enhance model interpretability by removing irrelevant, redundant, or noisy features.

There are several common approaches to feature selection. Filter methods evaluate the relevance of features based on their intrinsic properties, independent of any specific machine learning algorithm. This method can be computationally expensive due to the repeated training and evaluation cycles.

Embedded methods, on the other hand, perform feature selection as part of the model training process. Algorithms like Lasso regression or decision trees inherently perform feature selection by assigning importance scores to features or by pruning less important ones during training.
