Jaotuvõrgustik, also known as a mesh network, is a type of network topology in which each node (or device) is connected to every other node. This creates a redundant and robust network, as the failure of a single node does not necessarily disrupt the entire network. Mesh networks are often used in wireless networking, where nodes can communicate directly with each other without the need for a central access point.

The primary advantage of a mesh network is its high level of redundancy and fault tolerance. If one node fails or is removed, the network can still function as long as there is an alternative path between the source and destination nodes. This makes mesh networks ideal for applications where reliability is crucial, such as in emergency communication systems or in areas where traditional infrastructure is not available.

Mesh networks can be further classified into two types: client mesh networks and infrastructure mesh networks. In a client mesh network, all nodes are clients and can communicate directly with each other. In an infrastructure mesh network, some nodes act as access points, providing connectivity to clients while also forming the mesh backbone.

The deployment of a mesh network can be complex and may require specialized hardware and software. However, the benefits of increased reliability and coverage make it a valuable solution in various scenarios. As technology advances, mesh networks are becoming more accessible and are being adopted in a wider range of applications.
