Key measures are establishing an integration management office, developing a detailed integration blueprint with milestones, maintaining a live risk register, and implementing a phased, modular rollout. Technical practices include data governance, security by design, interoperability standards, and rigorous testing. Change management and stakeholder engagement are essential to secure adoption and minimize resistance.

Metrics to monitor include schedule and cost variances, realization of planned benefits, user adoption, data quality, system performance, and the frequency of security or privacy incidents. Periodic reviews help adjust scope and budgets and sustain alignment with strategic objectives.
