Inputconditioned

Inputconditioned is a term used in technical writing to describe processes, models, or analyses whose outputs are conditioned on the input data. In this usage, the input variables X determine or heavily influence the result, as opposed to being independent or determined by other factors. The common form is input-conditioned, with a hyphen; occasionally the term appears as input conditioned or, when used as a label, as inputconditioned (without space) in code or diagrams.

In practice, input-conditioned descriptions are prevalent in probabilistic modeling and machine learning, where the conditional distribution p(y|x) expresses the idea that the output y is conditioned on the input x. Similarly, many conditional generative models, such as conditional GANs or conditional VAEs, generate samples based on a given input. In signal processing and control theory, a system or controller may be described as input-conditioned if its behavior adapts to or is driven by the current input signal.
