Infeksjonsdødelighet, also known as infection fatality rate (IFR), refers to the proportion of deaths that occur among individuals who are infected with a particular disease. It is a crucial metric for understanding the severity of an infectious disease and its impact on public health. Calculating IFR involves identifying the total number of confirmed infections and dividing it by the total number of deaths attributed to that specific infection.
