Induktiivlülid

Induktiivlülid, also known as inductive proximity sensors, are non-contact sensors used to detect the presence of metallic objects. They work by generating a high-frequency oscillating magnetic field from a coil within the sensing face of the sensor. When a metallic target enters this magnetic field, eddy currents are induced within the target. These eddy currents create their own magnetic field, which opposes the sensor's magnetic field. This opposition causes a change in the oscillation within the sensor, which is then detected by an internal circuit. This detection triggers a change in the sensor's output state, typically switching from off to on or vice versa.

The sensing range of an inductive proximity sensor is dependent on its size and the type of metal being detected. Ferrous metals, like iron and steel, generally provide a longer sensing range than non-ferrous metals such as aluminum or copper, due to their higher magnetic permeability. The construction of inductive sensors typically includes a housing, a sensing face, an oscillator circuit, a detection circuit, and an output circuit. They are widely used in industrial automation for tasks such as counting, positioning, and detecting the presence or absence of parts.
