Individit
Individit is a term used in contemporary philosophy and social theory to denote the quality or state of being an individual—the set of traits, experiences, and contexts that distinguish one person from another and that can persist across time. The concept is closely related to ideas of personal identity, individuality, and personhood, but individit as a label is not a fixed or widely standardized term in academic literature. It is often invoked in discussions about what constitutes a person and how continuity of self is maintained.
Etymology and use: individit appears to be a neologism formed from the idea of indivisibility or distinctiveness
Dimensions: Physical continuity (biological body), psychological continuity (memories, personality, preferences), social identity (roles, relationships, community status),
Debates and applications: Because indications of sameness over time can be contested, discussions of individit intersect
