Inditex

Inditex, Sociedad Anónima, is a Spanish multinational clothing retailer headquartered in Arteixo, Galicia. It is one of the largest fashion retailers in the world by revenue and operates in numerous countries through its brand network, including Zara. The group is publicly traded on the Madrid Stock Exchange and is a component of the Ibex 35 index.

Inditex was founded in 1985 by Amancio Ortega as the holding company for the Zara brand, which had begun earlier in 1975 in Galicia. The group expanded rapidly in the following decades by launching additional brands and building an integrated supply chain that spans design, production, logistics and retail. It went public in 2001, broadening its access to capital and enabling a global store expansion.

Brands and operations: The Inditex group operates eight brands: Zara, Massimo Dutti, Pull&Bear, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home, and Uterqüe. The company emphasizes a fast-fashion model with vertical integration, overseeing much of its own design, production and logistics. Products are designed in-house and moved quickly from concept to stores through centralized distribution centers, allowing frequent restocks and rapid response to trends. The group operates thousands of stores in dozens of markets and maintains a significant online presence.
