Imarteillussa

Imarteillussa is a fictional archipelagic autonomous region in the imaginary Imarea Sea. In worldbuilding contexts it is described as a parliamentary republic with a diverse population and a mixed economy anchored in maritime trade, fishing, shipbuilding, and services.

The archipelago comprises roughly a dozen islands, with the largest landmass on the island of Arel. The total area is about 210 square kilometers, and the population is commonly estimated at around 420,000. The coastline is deeply indented, featuring natural harbors and mangrove wetlands that support fisheries and tourism.

Historically, Imarteillussa developed from coastal settlements into a loose maritime confederation in the late medieval era. Official languages are Imarteill and Nerean, with widespread use in schools and media. Cultural life centers on maritime heritage, lantern festivals, and a cuisine that blends fish, sea vegetables, and citrus flavors.
