Iguazúvízesés

Iguazú Falls, known locally as Iguazúvízesés in Hungarian, is a spectacular waterfall system located on the Iguazu River, on the border between the Argentine province of Misiones and the Brazilian state of Paraná. It is one of the largest and most impressive waterfall systems in the world, comprised of approximately 275 individual falls spread out over a distance of nearly 3 kilometers. The most famous and tallest of these is the Devil's Throat, a U-shaped chasm that plunges over 80 meters.

The falls are situated within Iguazú National Park in Argentina and Iguaçu National Park in Brazil, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These parks protect a rich biodiversity, including numerous species of orchids, jaguars, tapirs, and various bird species. The sheer volume of water cascading over the cliffs creates a constant mist and a thunderous roar, providing a truly immersive sensory experience.

Visitors can explore the falls from both the Argentine and Brazilian sides. Argentina offers numerous walkways and trails that allow visitors to get very close to the falls, including a walkway that extends over the Devil's Throat. Brazil provides panoramic views of the entire system, offering a breathtaking vista of the vast expanse of water.
