Ickekommutativitet

Icke-kommutativitet, also known as non-commutativity, is a property of certain mathematical operations where changing the order of the operands affects the result. This concept is most commonly encountered in the context of multiplication of numbers, matrices, and other algebraic structures.

In the realm of numbers, multiplication is generally commutative, meaning that for any two numbers a and b, the equation a * b = b * a holds true. However, this is not the case for all operations. For instance, in matrix multiplication, the order in which matrices are multiplied can significantly impact the result. Specifically, if A and B are matrices, then AB (A multiplied by B) is not necessarily equal to BA (B multiplied by A).
