IchBotschaften
IchBotschaften, often translated as "I-messages" or "I-statements," are a communication technique used to express feelings and needs without blaming or accusing the other person. This approach focuses on the speaker's internal experience and reactions to a situation. The core structure of an IchBotschaft typically involves three parts: a description of the behavior, the speaker's feelings about that behavior, and the impact or consequences of the behavior on the speaker. For example, instead of saying "You always interrupt me," an IchBotschaft would be "When I am speaking and get interrupted, I feel frustrated because I lose my train of thought."
The primary benefit of using IchBotschaften is to reduce defensiveness in the listener. By framing statements
