ITILpohjaiset (ITIL-based) refers to the application of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework to manage and deliver IT services. ITIL is a set of detailed practices for IT service management (ITSM) that focuses on aligning IT services with the needs of the business. The ITIL framework consists of five core publications, each addressing different aspects of IT service management:

3. Service Transition: This publication covers the transition of new or changed services into the live environment. It includes processes such as change management, service asset and configuration management, release and deployment management, validation and testing, and evaluation.

4. Service Operation: This publication focuses on the delivery and support of IT services to users. Key processes include event management, incident management, request fulfillment, problem management, and access management.

5. Continual Service Improvement: This publication aims to align and realign IT services to changing business needs by identifying and implementing improvements to IT services. It includes processes such as service reporting, service level management, and continual service improvement.

ITILpohjaiset approaches are widely adopted by organizations to standardize their IT service management practices, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and alignment with business goals.
