ISOstandardin

ISOstandardin is not an official designation used by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The term appears to be a concatenation of ISO with a suffix from some languages, or a fictional coinage. In formal ISO documentation, standards are referred to as ISO standards or by their numbers, such as ISO 9001 or ISO/IEC 27001.

ISO is an international standard-setting body composed of national standards organizations. It publishes International Standards intended to ensure quality, safety, efficiency, and interoperability across industries. Standards address a wide range of topics including management systems, product requirements, terminology, and testing methods.

ISO standards are developed by technical committees, subcommittees, and working groups. A typical track begins with a proposal, proceeds through working drafts and committee drafts, and ends with a draft international standard. Adoption of ISO standards is voluntary, but many governments, industries, and businesses adopt them as benchmarks for compliance, procurement, or certification schemes. National standards bodies may publish ISO standards as national standards, sometimes with legal or regulatory status. Standards are periodically reviewed and revised to reflect changes in technology and market needs.

Notable ISO standards include ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 14001 for environmental management, ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety, and ISO/IEC 27001 for information security management. There are thousands of standards covering manufacturing, services, IT, health, and safety.
