Hårdvaruenheter, often referred to as hardware devices, are the physical components that make up a computer system or any electronic device. These are the tangible parts you can see and touch, as opposed to software, which consists of instructions and data that tell the hardware what to do.

Common examples of input hardware devices include keyboards, mice, scanners, and microphones, which allow users to provide data and commands to the system. Output hardware devices, on the other hand, present information from the system to the user. This category includes monitors, printers, speakers, and projectors.

Internal hardware components are crucial for the operation of a device. The central processing unit (CPU) is the brain of the computer, performing most of the processing. Random access memory (RAM) is used for temporary data storage, allowing the CPU to access information quickly. Storage devices like hard disk drives (HDDs) and solid-state drives (SSDs) store data permanently. The motherboard connects all these internal components together.

Other essential hardware includes network interface cards (NICs) for internet connectivity, power supply units (PSUs) to provide electricity, and graphics processing units (GPUs) for rendering images and video. The combination and interaction of these various hardware devices enable the functionality of modern electronic systems.
