Hyväntekeisyysjärjestöt
Hyväntekeisyysjärjestöt, or charitable organizations, are non-profit entities in Finland that commonly pursue social welfare, cultural, educational, or environmental objectives. They are typically governed by statutes that define purpose, membership, and decision-making processes. The legal form adopted may be an association (tietty taso or avoin järjestö), a foundation (joukkelaitos), or a non-governmental organization (kansalaisjärjestö), each having specific registration requirements under the Association Act, the Foundation Act, and the Non-Governmental Social Organization Act.
