Hochpässen
Hochpässen is the German term for high mountain passes, typically found in the Alpine region, that enable passage between valleys or regions. The term is commonly used in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and northern Italy to describe high altitude roads and, less often, rail connections. Hochpässe are notable for their elevations, scenic value, and the engineering required to cross rugged terrain. They often serve as important transport corridors as well as tourist destinations.
