Hiukkaskiihtyjä, a Finnish term translating to "particle accelerator," refers to a scientific instrument used to propel charged particles to high speeds and energies. These devices are fundamental tools in particle physics research, enabling scientists to study the fundamental constituents of matter and the forces that govern them. By accelerating particles like protons, electrons, or ions, researchers can observe their interactions, decay products, and the creation of new particles.
