Hikmah

Hikmah is an Arabic term widely used in Malay and Indonesian to denote wisdom, insight, or sound judgment. In everyday usage, it refers to practical wisdom that underlies decisions, moral insight that guides behavior, and the discernment gained through experience.

The word form hikmah denotes the quality of prudent discernment, and related terms include hakim, meaning a judge or a wise person.
