Heatbearing

Heatbearing refers to the capacity of a material or substance to store and transfer thermal energy. It is a fundamental concept in thermodynamics and plays a crucial role in various engineering and scientific applications. The ability of a material to be heatbearing is determined by its specific heat capacity, thermal conductivity, and density.

Specific heat capacity is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one unit of mass of a substance by one degree Celsius. Materials with high specific heat capacity can absorb a large amount of heat without a significant increase in temperature, making them suitable for applications like heat sinks or thermal insulation.

Thermal conductivity, on the other hand, measures how efficiently a material conducts heat.
