In the fictional account, hapenpidon individuals are about 15 to 25 cm in body length, with a long prehensile tail, large forward-facing eyes, and a soft, dense pelage that ranges from gray to reddish-brown. They possess retractable claws and flexible ankles, aiding in rapid arboreal movement. The dentition includes elongated canines suited for capturing small vertebrates.

Habitat and range: described as inhabiting tropical to subtropical forests on the fictional continent of Sylvaria during the late Eocene to early Oligocene.
