Hajátültetés

Hajátültetés, also known as hair transplantation, is a surgical procedure to move hair follicles from one part of the body, typically the back or sides of the head (donor area), to a bald or thinning area (recipient area). This technique is primarily used to treat androgenetic alopecia, also known as male or female pattern baldness. The goal is to restore a more natural hairline and increase hair density.

There are two main techniques employed: Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) and Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE). FUT involves removing a strip of scalp from the donor area, from which individual follicular units (containing one to four hairs) are then dissected and transplanted. FUE involves extracting individual follicular units directly from the donor area using a small punch tool. Both methods aim to utilize the body's own hair, which is genetically resistant to balding, ensuring a permanent and natural-looking result.

The procedure is typically performed under local anesthesia. After extraction, the follicular units are carefully implanted into tiny incisions made in the recipient area, with precise attention to angle, depth, and density to mimic natural hair growth patterns. Post-operative care involves specific instructions for wound healing and hair care. Initial shedding of the transplanted hairs is normal, followed by new growth starting within a few months. Results can take up to a year to become fully apparent. Hajátültetés is considered a safe and effective solution for hair loss, but like any surgical procedure, it carries potential risks and requires consultation with a qualified surgeon to determine suitability.
