HD2

HD2 is a designation used in several technologies and products. The best-known use is the HTC HD2, a touchscreen smartphone released by HTC in 2009. It runs Windows Mobile and is noted for its large 4.3-inch display, solid build, and feature set that included GPS, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and a microSD card slot for expandable storage. The device was widely discussed for its high-end hardware at the time and later attracted attention from enthusiasts for unofficially porting other operating systems, including Android, though such ports were not supported by HTC.

In broadcasting, HD2 refers to the second digital subchannel on HD Radio stations. HD2 channels carry additional programming separate from the main channel and require an HD Radio receiver to decode. These subchannels give broadcasters room to offer alternative formats or niche content, often different from the primary feed, and are used at stations in many markets.
