Gwenview

Gwenview is an image viewer for the KDE desktop environment and a component of the KDE Applications suite. It is designed for fast, straightforward viewing and light image management, supporting a wide range of common image formats and large photo collections.

In viewing mode Gwenview offers several display options, including single-image view, a thumbnail grid, and full-screen mode. It provides zoom and pan, smooth navigation, and automatic rotation based on EXIF metadata. Basic editing tools include rotating, flipping, cropping, and simple exposure adjustments.

Gwenview includes a slideshow feature with configurable interval and transitions, along with printing support and the ability to view metadata such as EXIF, IPTC, and XMP. It also offers folder-based navigation and quick access to recently viewed images.

The program integrates with KDE software using KDE Frameworks and KIO, enabling seamless access to local and remote folders and media. It works well with Dolphin and other file managers and relies on shared libraries widely used in KDE applications.

Gwenview is free and open-source software released under a GNU General Public License and is developed by the KDE community. It runs on Linux and other platforms supported by KDE Applications, including Windows and macOS.
