Guatapés
Guatapé is a municipality and town in the Antioquia Department of Colombia. It is located in the Eastern Antioquia region, approximately 79 kilometers east of Medellín, the department's capital. The town is renowned for its vibrant and colorful architecture, with most houses adorned with "zócalos," a type of decorative baseboard that depicts scenes from local life, nature, and mythology. This distinctive feature has earned Guatapé the nickname "The Most Colorful Town in Colombia."
