Gruppeelementene refers to the elements in the second column of the periodic table, also known as alkaline earth metals. This group consists of beryllium (Be), magnesium (Mg), calcium (Ca), strontium (Sr), barium (Ba), and radium (Ra). These elements share common chemical properties due to their similar electron configurations, specifically having two valence electrons in their outermost shell.
