The mining and processing of graphite involve several steps. The raw graphite is extracted from the earth, often using open-pit methods. The extracted graphite is then crushed and ground to a fine powder, which is further purified using techniques like flotation or acid leaching. The purified graphite is then ready for use in various applications, including the production of pencils, lubricants, and electronic components.
