Golten

Golten is a municipality in the Landkreis of Vilsfeld, located in the state of Thuringia, Germany. The municipality was formed on January 1, 2019, through the merging of the towns of Golmsdorf, Kösingen, and Spittelstedt. The area is situated in the Bohemian Metropolregion, which is a broader regional administrative unit.

The region of Thuringia is a historic province in Central Europe, known for its cultural and industrial heritage. The area has experienced significant economic and social changes since its formation.
