Gitárok

Gitárok is a term that generally refers to guitars. This includes a wide variety of stringed musical instruments that are played by strumming or plucking the strings. The guitar family is extensive and can be broadly categorized into acoustic guitars and electric guitars. Acoustic guitars produce sound through the vibration of the strings amplified by the hollow body of the instrument. Electric guitars, on the other hand, require an external amplification system to produce audible sound, as their strings vibrate electromagnetic pickups.

Within acoustic guitars, common types include the classical guitar, known for its nylon strings and wide neck, often used for classical music and flamenco, and the steel-string acoustic guitar, which has a brighter tone and is widely used in folk, country, blues, and rock music. Steel-string acoustics come in various body shapes, such as dreadnought, jumbo, and orchestra models, each offering distinct tonal characteristics.

Electric guitars are typically equipped with solid or semi-hollow bodies and produce sound via magnetic pickups. Their versatility allows them to be used across numerous genres, including rock, blues, jazz, metal, and pop. Variations in electric guitar design include different pickup configurations (single-coil, humbucker), body styles (Stratocaster, Telecaster, Les Paul), and bridge systems. Bass guitars, a lower-pitched member of the guitar family, are also commonly referred to when discussing gitárok, and they play a crucial role in providing the rhythmic and harmonic foundation in many musical ensembles.
