Geräuschmaskierung
Geräuschmaskierung, also known as sound masking or noise masking, is a process of introducing a low-level sound into an environment to reduce the intelligibility of unwanted background noise. This introduced sound, often referred to as masking sound or pink noise, is designed to be unobtrusive and typically falls within a specific frequency range. The primary goal is to raise the ambient sound level just enough so that human speech becomes harder to understand. This is particularly effective for speech that is not directly addressed to the listener.
