Geosyntetförstärkning

Geosyntetförstärkning refers to the use of geosynthetic materials to improve the mechanical properties of soil or other construction materials. These materials are engineered products made from polymers and are designed to be placed within a soil mass to provide tensile strength, drainage, filtration, or separation. Geosynthetics are typically composed of synthetic fibers such as polyester, polypropylene, or polyethylene.

The primary function of geosyntetförstärkning is to enhance the load-bearing capacity and stability of soil structures. This is achieved by introducing tensile reinforcement that can resist the stresses and strains that would otherwise cause deformation or failure. Geonets are three-dimensional net-like structures primarily used for drainage.

Engineers analyze the required tensile strength, interface friction, and long-term performance to select the appropriate geosynthetic material and determine the optimal placement and configuration.
