Geopathy

Geopathy is a term used in alternative medicine to describe the supposed negative effects on human health attributed to natural radiation emanating from the earth. Proponents suggest that underground water streams, fault lines, or mineral deposits emit energies that can disrupt the body's natural balance, leading to various ailments such as fatigue, headaches, insomnia, and more serious conditions.

Practitioners of geopathy often employ dowsing rods or pendulums to detect these supposed energy fields. They may then recommend remedies such as repositioning beds, installing shielding devices, or altering the layout of a home or workplace to mitigate the perceived effects. While the concept of geopathy is popular in some circles, it is not recognized by mainstream science or medicine.

Scientific investigations into geopathy have not yielded evidence to support its existence or its purported health impacts. The scientific community generally attributes perceived symptoms to psychological factors, environmental influences unrelated to earth energies, or conventional medical conditions.
