Genodigden is the Dutch term for the people who have been invited to an event. The word refers to individuals who are specifically invited by the host, as opposed to attendees who may show up without an invitation. The singular form is genodigde, and the plural is genodigden. The term is commonly used in both formal and informal contexts, including weddings, funerals, parties, conferences, and other gatherings.

Invitations are typically accompanied by details such as date, time, location, dress code, and optional information about whether children are welcome. A request for an RSVP (in Dutch: bevestiging van komst) is often included so the host can plan for the expected number of guests. The host uses the list of genodigden to arrange seating, catering, and overall logistics.
