Geely Automobile Holdings Limited, commonly known as Geely, is a Chinese multinational automotive company headquartered in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. It is part of the broader Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (ZGH), a private conglomerate with investments in automotive, financial services, and other sectors. Geely originated in 1986 as a manufacturer of refrigerator parts and entered the automotive industry in the late 1990s, growing into one of China’s largest private carmakers. The company markets passenger cars under the Geely Auto brand and has developed several sub-brands for different markets, such as Lynk & Co for global mobility and Geometry for electric vehicles; Emgrand has also been used as a Geely sub-brand in some regions.
