Gearloose

Gearloose is a fictional character appearing in comic books published by Fantagraphics Books, created by Carl Barks. He is a brilliant, eccentric inventor who lives in Duckburg and is a close friend and frequent associate of Scrooge McDuck. Gearloose is often depicted as a duck with a very tall, thin physique, a shock of white hair, and perpetually wears goggles and a lab coat. He is known for his incredible intellect and his ability to invent almost anything, from advanced robots to complex transportation devices.

Despite his genius, Gearloose's inventions sometimes go awry, leading to comical or dangerous situations that Scrooge McDuck often has to help him resolve. He has a mechanical dog named Rover, a sentient robot that assists him in his workshop. Gearloose's inventions are usually created to help Scrooge with his adventures or to solve a specific problem.
