Gasztrocolikus

Gasztrocolikus is a Hungarian term that describes a specific type of gastrocolic reflex. The gastrocolic reflex itself is a normal physiological response where the stomach fills with food, which then stimulates increased motility in the colon, leading to the urge to defecate. This reflex is strongest after larger meals and often occurs shortly after eating.

When the term "gasztrocolikus" is used, it typically refers to an exaggerated or particularly strong manifestation of this reflex. Individuals experiencing a pronounced gasztrocolikus reflex might feel a very immediate and urgent need to have a bowel movement soon after consuming a meal.
