Galeras
Galeras is an active stratovolcano in southwestern Colombia, located in the Nariño Department near the city of Pasto. It is one of the country’s most active volcanoes and rises to about 4,276 meters above sea level. The volcano forms part of the Andean volcanic belt, a result of the ongoing subduction of the Nazca Plate beneath the South American Plate.
