Gainsäätimet

Gainsäätimet, often translated as gain controls, are fundamental components in audio and electronic signal processing. Their primary function is to adjust the amplitude, or gain, of an electrical signal. This adjustment can either amplify the signal, making it stronger, or attenuate it, making it weaker. Gainsäätimet are ubiquitous in a wide range of equipment, from musical instruments and audio interfaces to communication devices and industrial control systems.

The physical implementation of a gainsäädin can vary. Commonly, they are potentiometers, which are variable resistors that can be turned by a knob or slid along a track.
