GVHDn
GVHDn is a term encountered in some medical literature to describe nonclassical or novel manifestations of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT). It is not a universally adopted designation, and conventional GVHD classification typically centers on acute and chronic phenotypes with defined patterns of organ involvement (such as skin, liver, and gastrointestinal tract). The use of GVHDn reflects ongoing attempts to describe atypical or emerging phenotypes within the spectrum of GVHD.
Pathophysiology is considered to follow the same basic mechanism as GVHD, involving donor T-cell–mediated alloimmune responses
Clinical features of GVHDn, when used, are described as atypical or broader in scope than classic GVHD.
Management generally follows principles used for GVHD, including immunosuppressive therapy and supportive care, tailored to the
Research on GVHDn aims to refine phenotypes, identify biomarkers, and develop standardized criteria to improve diagnosis,
